Breakfast protein smoothie

This breakfast smoothie is delicious and packed with healthy ingredients. It contains everything you need to start to your day the right way. The coconut oil and banana are fantastic energy boosters, plus contain valuable nutrients that not only benefit your general health, but also your mood, skin and hair.


I've also included my favourite colourful spice, turmeric, which is high in antioxidants and is one of my daily 'can't do without' ingredients.





250ml unsweetened almond milk

28g (1 scoop) of chocolate protein powder (I use Maxi Nutrition Lean)

1 tsp turmeric

1 tbsp gluten free oats

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tsp almond butter (or cashew butter)

1/2 frozen banana



Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend for approximately 1 minute until smooth. Pour into a pint glass and enjoy. You'll be happily full until lunchtime.
